Foundry Lane Primary School

After a recommendation Foundry Lane Primary School contacted us to supply and install new lighting infrastructure and equipment for the main hall. We installed a new 6 way lighting bar and added a DMX link to the existing bars to allow control of three new Showtec Phantom 25 LED moving heads, four high brightness LED par-cans, two Showtec Galactic Moodbeam lasers and a demux to interface the existing dimmer pack. The system is controlled by AVSS Show Magic SL software running on a touchscreen laptop which sends its DMX wirelessly to the equipment.

Teign Valley Community Hall

After the successful installation of the AV equipment the committee members of Teign Valley Community Hall appointed On Stage Solutions to convert the 265 Fluorescent tubes in the sports hall to LED. This has ensured high brightness and uniform colour temperature across the hall whilst eliminating the need for regular maintenance.

Grange Primary School

One of our favourite regular customers, Grange Primary School in Gosport, asked us to pop along and add to their lighting rig. We installed 3 Showtec Phantom 25 LED moving heads – small but punchy these units complimented the colour changers already installed. On Stage Solutions also replaced the ancient and complicated fader desk with a Touch Screen Laptop running Show magic SL massively simplifying use of the lighting for the busy staff.

As part of a complete hall refurbishment On Stage Solutions provided a new lighting rig with a mix of LED par cans and traditional lanterns, a new sound system with solid state media player/recorder and a state of the art LED powered data projector and electric screen which disappears from view when not in use.

The project was undertaken alongside the many other trades who have transformed the ageing hall into what looks like a brand new building.

Peace and Memorial Hall, North Bradley, Wiltshire

Following on from the installation of a new cotton duck floor cloth in 2012 On Stage Solutions have installed two new LED lighting battens above the stage in the Hall. The brief was for the lights to be able to provide a bright white flood to the front of the stage area as presently the hall is not used by an Am-dram group, but is used for talks, flower shows and presentations. The other challenges to solve were that the stage has very little head room making heat a problem and regular lamp failure in the existing lights.

We provided two slimline LED RGBW battens which provide a high quality bright white light with virtually no heat with the option to have coloured light if required, the system is controlled by an Anytronics Anyscene push button panel proving access to one of seven preprogrammed lighting scenes at the touch of a button.

Melbury Osmond Village Hall

As a popular Arts Reach venue the committee of Melbury Osmond Village Hall, near Yeovil, Somerset felt it was time to add some stage lighting. Following a discussion on site to understand what the hall is used for we provided a quotation for two wall mounted internally wired lighting bars providing 'Hot Power' from the existing ring main. 6 LED lanterns, two 600w profile lanterns, a control desk and two dimmers were also included.

The committee were impressed with our price and proposal and duly accepted our quotation. The installation and training was completed within one day ensuring the new equipment was ready to use for that weekends performance.

Doughty Hoist Standard Lighting Hoist

We have recently undertaken the design and installation of a powered lighting hoist for the lecture theatre of a prestigious Oxford College new build. Working closely with the main contractor and other trades to co-ordinate the project a customised Doughty Hoist has been installed to allow access

to the state of the art light fittings being used to illuminate the colleges speakers in this stunning building which blends style of traditional Oxford universities with the best architectural elements of the Islamic world.

Bishops Nympton Parish Hall

The fantastic new hall and adjoining community shop in the delightful Devon village of Bishops Nympton is a triumph for community action and a well used focal point for the residents of the village and wider area. On Stage Solutions recently supplied and installed a removable Doughty curtain track, front of house tabs in inherently flame retardant Royal Blue with matching removable pelmet and masking drapes. To compliment the curtains a modular Doughty Easydeck stage was provided, comprising of 250mm high and 500mm 1 meter square units the staging can be arranged in a huge number of configurations from a 750mm high thrust stage to tiered seating or rostra for a choir.

Frances, Bob and Mo from Bishops Nympton players were a delight to work for with plenty of tea on tap - On Stage Solutions thoroughly recommend the mature cheddar cheese available from the shop!

A Busy Summer

On Stage Solutions have had a busy summer - carrying out installations in a range of venues incuding a sympathetic refit in a listed barn with a stipulation against drilling into the building. Supply and install of a new moving light console for a public school - along with detailed customer training and a service and inspection to a 16th century church sound system as well as our more regular venues

North Bradley Peace Memorial Hall

To protect the pine boarding and provide a long lasting acoustic dampening to the stage we supplied a 'cotton duck' floor cloth made from heavy duty canvas and fitted with eyelets allowing it to be fitted taughtly to the stage - Our man John couldn't quite move fast enough to take a photo of him self vacuuming after the job though.....

Trafalgar School - Downton

An impending performance in the round and a hall set for exams at Trafalagr School Downton required On Stage Solutions to move quickly. A new internally wired front of house grid was needed to provide a much wider range of lighting positions across the hall, and it was needed in less than two weeks!

An 18 way 8x4m grid was installed and fitted with hot power and CAT5E cabled points - allowing connections for DMX, Audio Signal or Multiplexed VGA as well as network protocol providing a flexible and future-proof solution.

Working outside of normal school hours allowed the grid to be fully installed and tested without any disruption to examinations and in good time for the technical rehersals.

Broad Chalke Village Hall

To supplement the exisitng equipment in the hall allowing the community to join together to watch the Jubilee celebrations in a party atmosphere we supplied and installed a 3 meter 4:3 aspect ratio projection screen and freeview digital receiver, Audio Equipment and two RCD protected 13a sockets were also added to top the system off.  As well using the new AV equipment for live TV events such as the European Football Championships and the London 2012 Olympics it is reguarly used for slides and video to back up presentations and talks, Village resident Caroline Lamb regularly uses the hall to present information about the great work of Cress UK, a charity working in Southern Sudan to provide Health Care and Education. see www.cressuk.org

Weyhill Electronic Organ Society

Terry Trevett from the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society, based near Andover, Hampshire contacted us to provide a solution to the society's need for stage lighting in their regular host venue, the Fairground Hall at Weyhill.

Two high power,  energy efficient LED colour changing Showtec Spectral lanterns, control desk and associated cabling were supplied and installed.

The society have kindly allowed other users of the hall access to the new lighting, thus enhancing the space for the whole community. WEOS stage a live music concert every month, see www.weyhill-eos.co.uk for more information

Bower Chalke Memorial Hall, Wiltshire

The Bower Chalke Memorial Hall committee contacted Onstage Solutions looking to add to the facilities within the hall, both for their regular calendar of events and to make the hall more attractive for lettings. Initially a Doughty Easy-Deck portable stage was supplied, allowing the hall to set up a stage in a number of configurations, after a successful inaugural concert the hall committee decided an improvement to the lighting was a priority, On Stage Solutions were contracted to sympathetically install a black internally wired lighting bar, with black fittings to blend into the dark oak roof trusses, from which would be fitted four high power LED par cans with associated cabling, a user friendly control desk was also supplied and pre programmed with a selection of useful scenes

I thought you would be pleased to know that last Friday we held a small-scale theatrical performance in our Village Hall.  The Easydeck equipment and stage lights both proved excellent for the occasion.  Thank you for your assistance with these improvements. we were very happy with your service  -  advice, timeliness and price  -  and will continue to recommend you to others.” - Col.
